Ask a question about this product

The natural extraction is from the anal glands of the civet cat and is often described as repulsive and fecal.  The animal uses the scent to mark out their territory.  Although pungent, over time the natural scent mellows and develops a musk-like aroma, that is prized in perfumery.

Collection of the natural scent is considered by most to be unethical and synthetic versions are preferred.  Civet is a base note that can bring warmth to a blend and vitality to a blend (especially florals).

I wish I knew what the real thing smelt like, but this FO I would describe as having very pleasant animal overtones. Sweet and almost floral, but
musky at the same time... a bit of an enigma

Lovely scent and not at all what I expected. For me it reminds me of a strong, concentrated Lily of the Valley. Strange, I know right, but we are all
different. ;)rnrn
