Lavender Essential Oil

Country of origin: France

Probably one of the best known essential oils and most familiar aroma.  In Europe, lavender is a widely cultivated plant although France are the main producers.  Introduced to England by the Romans, the plant has been used in medicine since ancient times.  Its uses are many, from clearing headlice to offering a remedy for insomnia.  Lavender is one of the few oils that can be used neat, in isolated areas, on the skin.
