Jojoba wax is a completely natural, biodegradable wax produced from the oil of the seeds of the woody plant, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba oil).

With a melting point around 65C, it is fabulous for balms and salves and perfect for stabilising emulsions.  It is an excellent vegan substitute for beeswax and, because jojoba oil is very similar to the skin’s natural oil secretions (sebum) and is rich in vitamins A and E, it is very beneficial and protective to the skin, especially dry skin.
