Neem Oil (Unrefined)

Neem oil is crushed from the leaves and seeds of the neem tree. It contains 35 biologically active principals and has anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties, so may be useful for treating many types of bacterial and fungal infections.

As an insecticide, it is useful in the control of head lice and because it is also said to anti-parasitic properties, it may be useful for conditions such as scabies.  Also, diluted into liquid soap, it can be used as spray for plants to keep bugs at bay.  It can also be used in pet care preparations to help kill and repel flees.  Generally, it is excellent for use in all insect repellent formulations.  Best used in low dilutions however, as it does have rather a strong aroma.

Very thick, light brown oil with very strong nutty aroma. I add just about 1-2 % to my face creams to avoid the strong smell, but more to a body
butter where I mix in vanilla scent to create more like coconut aroma.
