Ethox Preservative

INCI: Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin

A reliable, biodegradable, paraben-free preservative that offers a broad, balanced spectrum effect on bacteria, yeasts and mould fungi.

A good choice for natural formulations except for those containing ethoxylated surfactants (such as PEGs and SLES – a good rule of thumb = ingredients ending/containing ‘eth’, where efficacy may be lost).

It offers:

- Excellent solubility and easily dispersed in products, even at low temperatures.
- Presents stable characteristics to temperature
- Effective in pH ranges up to 12
- Is a good wetting agent

Suggested Usage Guideline: 0.5-1%*
