INCI: Helianthus annuus & Beta Carotene Oil Carrots were first introduced to Britain by Flemish refugees during the reign of Elizabeth I. The oil is produced by chopping up the carrot and adding it to a carrier oil, in this case sunflower oil. The mix is agitated using a pump and left for a period of between two and four weeks. The resulting oil is an orange-coloured liquid rich in beta-carotene and in vitamins A, B, C, D, E and F. It is excellent for use in sun creams and for anti-aging creams thanks to its mix of vitamins and beta-carotenes. It is useful for dry, chapped skin & helps maintain skin hydration. It is also good as a hair conditioner when used at 5-10% dilution. In skin care formulations, such as face cream/lotion, use at 2-5% dilution. Ratio: 80% Helianthus annuus / 20% Beta Carotene Oil |
