An emulsifier brings together oil and water (normally unable to mix) to produce creams and lotions.  While there are very few naturally occurring emulsifiers (which rarely produce reliable results) we can look to the next best thing, emulsifiers derived from natural sources.

GMS is widely used in the food industry for making of products such as ice cream and other creamy products as well as baked goods.  It is also a popular emulsifier for natural cosmetics.

Usage guideline 1-10% (1-10g per 100g).  For best results and a more stable emulsion, use in combination with cetyl or cetearyl alcohol.
