A huge big thank you to Fresholi member 1nurse2 for kindly submitting this great hair recipe that is a apparently great for Afro hair types. Thank you again :o) Have you tried using castor oil on your hair for softness and moisture?
I use it on wet hair by itself or mixed with a leav-in conditioner. I also found a recipe for a pomade CASTOR OIL POMADE 3tsp calendula wax (Olive wax was considered a good alternative here) 2 drops lavender essential oil 1 drop tea tree oil 1 1/2 oz castor oil 1 tsp shea butter Put the wax, shea butter,and castor oil in the pot on low heat until the wax has melted. When the mixture has completely melted, allow it to cool down a bit-leave it for about 30 minutes. Then add in your essential oils and mix with a hand mixer until it gets thick. Makes 4 oz |
